Job summary

PetVet Care Centers is seeking a part-time Veterinarian to provide comprehensive medical care while maintaining a balanced schedule with a locally led hospital team supported by national resources.

You will perform exams, diagnostics, surgery, and client education, collaborating with a dedicated team. Flexible hours and prorated compensation reflect experience and shifts, with access to hospital tools in a supportive Culture of Care.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited college
• Current State Veterinary License
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained
• 1+ years of veterinary practice experience
• Excellent diagnostic, surgical, and dental skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups
• Client communication and education
• Performing diagnostic procedures and surgery
• Maintaining accurate medical records
• Pharmacy duties including prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency
• Support weekly priorities with Hospital Manager
• Monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge
• Attend daily rounds when possible and participate in training
