Qualifications

• Previous hands-on veterinary clinic experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Veterinary Technician registration is welcomed but not required.
• Part-time availability with rotating Saturdays.
• Confidently handling dogs and cats.
• Strong client-service and communication skills.
• Dependability, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
• Collaborative, team-first mindset.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians during patient appointments, treatments, and procedures.
• Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information.
• Provide safe, compassionate handling and restraint for canine and feline patients.
• Perform blood draws and collect diagnostic samples based on experience and training.
• Assist with laboratory testing and sample preparation.
• Prepare medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Provide attentive patient care and monitoring.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about their pets' care.
• Assist with client education and reinforce veterinarian recommendations.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient medical records.
• Clean, organize, stock, and maintain exam and treatment areas.
• Collaborate with teammates to maintain an efficient daily workflow.
• Jump in wherever needed to support patients, clients, and coworkers.
• Provide plentiful compassion and attention to our four-legged patients.
