Job summary

Red River Animal Emergency Clinic in Fargo, ND is seeking a part-time Veterinary Inventory Support Assistant to join our team. This role supports the operations of a busy 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital by receiving, stocking, and organizing supplies.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently within established procedures. We offer competitive pay starting at $18 per hour and a schedule averaging 15–29 hours per week.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or equivalent
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing needs
Strong communication and professionalism
Ability to maintain confidentiality and positive working relationships
Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory management software
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and move throughout the hospital

Responsibilities

Receive, verify, unpack, and stock deliveries of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, laboratory supplies, and office supplies.
Organize storage areas and rotate inventory using FEFO/FIFO practices.
Monitor stock levels and expiration dates; assist with inventory counts and records.
Restock treatment areas, exam rooms, surgery, ICU, pharmacy, laboratory, and other departments.
Assist with inventory ordering, purchase orders, vendor returns, product recalls, and documentation.
Keep stockrooms, refrigerators, freezers, and supply areas clean, organized, and compliant with hospital protocols.
