Long Valley Animal Hospital in Long Valley, NJ is seeking a compassionate and skilled part-time Veterinary Assistant to join Rarebreed Veterinary Partners' team. You’ll work with the latest technology, keep patient records, and support veterinarians in exams, surgery prep, and client education.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 1+ year veterinary experience; Cornerstone software is a plus. This position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate medical records and charting.
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for procedures.
• Perform physical assessments and document observations.
• Prepare estimates for procedures and discuss costs with clients.
• Explain home care instructions and follow-up needs.
• Stock treatment areas and notify inventory when supplies run low.
• Assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, and dental procedures.
• Educate clients on preventive care and products we stock.
• Deliver excellent customer service, including scheduling and post-visit follow-ups.
