Job summary

Friends School of Baltimore is seeking a Program Coordinator/Head Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach for Fall 2026 in Baltimore, MD. This part-time seasonal position reports to the Director of Athletics and includes overseeing practices, games, and the Junior Varsity program.

Responsibilities include planning and attending practices and games, communicating with parents and students, coordinating equipment, and collaborating with admissions and college counseling to support student athletes.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Varsity coaching experience preferred.
• Background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and attend all practices and games.
• Communicate with parents and students effectively.
• Write post-game summaries to be used by the SID and marketing department in community-wide communications.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate student managers.
• Drive school vehicles (mini-buses) to and from away contests, scrimmages and tournaments.
• Attend meetings with the Athletic Department, the volleyball coaching staff, and the Director of Athletics.
• Oversee the program and provide leadership and vision for all teams including the Junior Varsity program.
• Work collaboratively with the Admissions Office and the Office of College Counseling in support of our student athletes.
