Job summary

Peninsula Agency on Aging in Williamsburg is seeking a part-time Van Driver for the RIDES Program. CDL not required. The role involves operating a van, picking up senior citizens for meals, and returning them to their homes.

We expect candidates to be able to assist clients in and out of vehicles, follow oral and written instructions, lift at least 25 pounds, and maintain trip records. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and is part-time, two days per week.

Qualifications

• Valid Virginia driver's license.
• Ability to assist clients in wheelchairs.
• Able to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Knowledge of traffic laws governing van operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate a van to transport seniors to meals and return them home.
• Assist clients in and out of vehicles.
• Transport to doctors, outings, and points of interest.
• Maintain passenger lists, trip records, and pre-trip inspections.
