Porters Neck Village is seeking a hospitality-focused Utility Worker/Dishwasher to join our team in Wilmington, NC. The role handles pot washing, dishwashing, and general cleaning in the Culinary Services Department while storing supplies and maintaining high cleanliness standards.

The position is part-time, pays $15/hr with a Fri-Sun schedule and includes benefits like 403(b), EAP, scholarship opportunities, DailyPay, and more. Prior restaurant or senior living experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to understand direction in English.
• Ability to walk/stand for the full shift.
• Lift up to 35 lbs independently and push/pull carts up to 100 lbs.
• Minimum of one year restaurant/senior living or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and organization.
• Set up the dish and pot washing area.
• Wash pots, dishes and utensils; clean and sanitize production equipment and surfaces.
• Perform cleaning tasks (mopping, sweeping) according to schedules and procedures.
• Empty trash containers as required.
• Assist with meal deliveries and buffet line when needed.
• Train in prep cook area as time allows.

Porters Neck Village is recruiting for a hospitality focused Utility Worker/Dishwasher to join our team! This position is responsible for a number of kitchen activities including pot washing, dish washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies in the Culinary Services Department. The Utility Worker/Dishwasher position is responsible for maintaining a superior level of quality service and cleanliness at all times.

This position is part time and pays $15/hr. Friday - Sunday schedule.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dishwasher:

• Exemplify at all times Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and operational organization.
• Sets up the dish and pot washing area
• Prepares for dish washing and washes pots, dishes and utensils.
• Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces and other areas of the kitchen including mopping and sweeping, according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Empties trash containers as required.
• Assist with meal deliveries and delivery process as needed.
• Works buffet line as needed.
• Trains in prep cook area as time allows
• Maintains standards for personal appearance and cleanliness, maintains orderly, safe, sanitary, and secure work area at all time and follows all established safety and quality control procedures.

• Ability to understand direction in English
• Ability to walk/stand for 100% of the work day
• Ability to life and carry up to 35lbs independently and push/pull carts and trays weighing up to 100lbs
