UrgentVet in New Britain, Connecticut, is seeking a licensed veterinarian for single-doctor urgent care shifts. The practice focuses on after-hours care for canine and feline patients, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia, with cloud-based EMR and on-site IDEXX equipment.

We offer flexible schedules, swing shifts, and a strong technical/mentorship team in a modern, paperless clinic setting.

Formación

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college.
• Active license in good standing to practice in the employed state or ability to obtain license.

Responsabilidades

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach.
• Collaborate with the clinical team and leadership.
• Grow relationships within the practice and the New Britain community.
• Encourage the growth of support staff through internal LevelUp training.
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during open hours.

Overview

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the New Britain, Connecticut area. We offer after‑hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single‑doctor shifts provide care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and is equipped with cloud‑based EMR, digital x‑ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in‑house lab equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship‑based approach

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program)
• Active license in good standing to practice in the state in which candidate will be employed (or the ability to obtain a license in that state)
