UrgentVet Hospitals in Denham Springs (Baton Rouge area) seeks a Part-Time Urgent Care Veterinarian to provide after-hours care for dogs and cats. You’ll handle common urgent cases, perform wound care, manage vomiting/diarrhea, and participate in a paperless clinic with cloud-based EMR and in-house diagnostics.

Join a single-doctor shift model with a strong support team, flexible swing/second shift schedules, and a focus on Fear Free care and feline friendliness.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from AVMA-accredited college.
• Active license to practice in the state.

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach.
• Collaborate with the clinical team and leadership.
• Grow relationships within the practice and Baton Rouge community.
• Encourage growth of support staff through internal LevelUp training.

Description

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the Baton Rouge, Louisianaarea. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.
