Job summary
MUSC Health Elgin Urgent Care is seeking a part-time Advanced Practice Provider to care for patients in Elgin, SC. The APP will work alongside physicians and other providers in a high-volume urgent care setting, delivering compassionate patient care.
Required credentials include an accredited PA program with licensure or eligibility or an APRN/Family NP license, plus 1 year of APP experience in urgent or primary care settings and BLS/ACLS, with DHEC/DEA credentials as applicable.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and licensure or eligibility.
- APRN/NP licensure (FNP) eligibility as noted.
- Minimum 1 year APP experience in urgent care, primary care or emergency medicine.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- DHEC and DEA credentials required.
Responsibilities
- Takes history and performs physical examinations.
- Evaluates and treats based on exams and tests per guidelines.
- Potential to obtain DOT certification for DOT physicals.
- Performs therapeutic procedures and assists physician.
- Initiates referrals and documents care.
