Job summary

General Description
The ASU - Beebe Upward Bound program is looking for English, Math and Science teachers to help our students succeed in high school. The academic year teachers work closely with the Assistant Director and Academic Coordinator/Outreach Specialist to assist students in learning outcomes. The main role of the teacher is to develop and implement lesson plans, manage the classroom, and administer assessments to make sure outcomes are met. The program meets for 5 weeks from June 1st - July 2nd. The pay is $800 for non-lab and $1000 for a lab class per section taught.


Job Duties and Responsibilities


  1. Develop and implement lesson plans

  2. Provide support and assistance to the student population

  3. Manage the classroom

  4. Administer assessments

  5. Communicate with Academic Coordinator/Outreach Specialist and Assistant Director about students’ needs

  6. Teach ACT prep, life skills, and career assessment.
