Job summary

Kansas City Kansas Community College is seeking a part-time Upward Bound Instructor responsible for teaching curriculum and assisting with the educational development of first-generation college-bound high school students. The instructor will work five hours a month, primarily on Saturdays, and will report to the Director of Upward Bound.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree or a secondary teaching certification in relevant subjects, along with strong communication skills and a commitment to supporting diverse student populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject area or secondary teaching certification.
• Experience working with adolescents from various backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned subjects at monthly Saturday class sessions.
• Develop instructional materials and curriculum.
• Submit records of students' progress and performance.
