FLSA Status: Part-Time Exempt

Direct Report: Upper School Principal

Position Summary: The Upper School English teacher will teach the equivalent of three sections of High School English and attend weekly faculty meetings. A successful candidate must demonstrate mastery of curriculum and innovative teaching practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach three sections of High School English.
  • Demonstrate mastery of curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Adopt innovative instructional and assessment practices aligned with departmental philosophies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English or related field required; master's preferred.
  • At least three years of high school teaching experience, including AP classes.
  • Experience in independent schools preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Interest in Quaker mission, educational philosophy, and DEI initiatives.
