Job summary

The Hun School of Princeton seeks an experienced Middle and Upper School Counselor for a part-time position (approximately 28 hours per week across four on-campus days). The counselor will join a collaborative Counseling and Wellness team supporting students in grades 6 through 12.

You will provide individual counseling, build trusting relationships, collaborate with families and outside providers, and work with faculty and administrators to support social-emotional well-being.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology or related field.
• Experience counseling adolescents.
• Ability to support students across diverse identities and backgrounds.
• Experience in a school or youth-serving setting preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling and student support to middle and upper school students.
• Build trusting counseling relationships honoring identities, cultures, and lived experiences.
• Partner with families and outside providers to support well-being.
• Consult with faculty, advisors, deans, and administrators on social-emotional needs.
• Participate in Student Support Team meetings and collaborate across departments.
