Job summary

Allied Universal in Riviera Beach, FL is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer to guard clients across utilities and more. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering courteous customer service.

The role offers flexible scheduling via our Claim a Shift platform, with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour, a driver’s license preferred, and opportunities for training and growth within a security-focused team.

Qualifications

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Possess access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, perimeter fencing, and other assigned areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, vendors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs related to patrols, incidents, access activity, and security-related observations.
