Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer for a government location in Staten Island, NY. The role focuses on patrolling, customer service, credential verification, and incident reporting to deter security incidents and ensure a welcoming environment.

You will work in shifts with pay rate of $22.00 per hour, supporting a security program that emphasizes agility, reliability, teamwork, care, and integrity.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel at a government headquarters location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and public agencies as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and completely in required reports and logs.
