Job summary

Allied Universal® in Monroe, NC is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to monitor and safeguard facilities across manufacturing and industrial locations. You will provide outstanding customer service while patrolling assigned areas and maintaining a visible security presence.

A valid driver's license is required for driving positions. You will join a dynamic team that values integrity, teamwork, and a caring culture.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license and being at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Background check and drug screen are required by law.
Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols to deter unauthorized activity across manufacturing and industrial areas.
Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and vehicle authorization per site procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, documenting observations and actions.
Report hazards, equipment concerns, policy violations, and unusual conditions to site contacts and leadership.
