Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in South Portland, ME. The role involves patrolling a retail distribution location, monitoring access points, and providing excellent customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel.

Responsibilities include routine patrols, incident response, and maintaining logs and documentation. Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and facility concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by communicating professionally with associates, contractors, and guests while helping to deter theft, trespassing, and other policy violations.
