Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Providence, RI, offering flexible fixed shifts with six-month commitment and the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings. This role provides 40 hours per week maximum with potential growth through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

Pay rate is $19.00 per hour, with part-time hours structured on Saturdays and Sundays evenings, and a strong emphasis on customer service, safety, and professional

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and concerns calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas and entrances.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report observations to site contacts.
• Assist with access control, visitor awareness, and maintaining a professional presence.
