Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Unarmed Patrol Deterrence Security Officer in Collegeville, PA. You will monitor and safeguard clients, provide professional customer service, and deter security incidents across multiple areas.

The role offers flexible scheduling with DayTime and Night shifts. Training, a background check, and a drug screen are required as part of the employment process.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including exterior areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete accurate activity logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements.
