Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed Patrol) in Sparks, NV to protect technology data center facilities, assist visitors and staff, and maintain a visible security presence. This role supports access control, incident response, and detailed reporting while offering flexible shift options and a path for growth within a technology-focused environment.

You will monitor sites, handle security procedures, and apply site-specific policies to deter unauthorized activity

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation per laws.
• Drug screen as required.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of data center buildings, access points, parking areas, utility spaces, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and document entries, exits, and security-related incidents in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining awareness of operational requirements within a technology-focused location.
