Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to support operations at a Del Valle, TX site. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform, enabling up to 40 hours/week while maintaining flexibility.

The position provides a pathway to further opportunities within the industry, with pay at $22.00 per hour and a focus on customer service, access control, and incident response for government facilities.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and public areas, verify authorized entry when required, and assist with directing visitors in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence.
