Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time security officer (unarmed) for an Austin healthcare location. You will patrol, monitor access, and provide professional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence on site.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a healthcare-related manufacturing location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify irregular conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials and directing visitors according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations following emergency procedures.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation and communicate observations to site leadership.
