Job summary

PGS USA in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a Part-time Unarmed Retail Bank Security Officer to maintain a visible, professional presence, deter unauthorized activity, and quickly respond to incidents, while upholding customer service standards and protecting staff, visitors, and property.

The position is based at a Daytona Beach retail bank, requires a Florida Class D license, a high school diploma or equivalent, successful background check and drug screen, and availability Thursday and Friday

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter illegal activities and ensure safety of personnel, visitors, and property.
• Monitor and authorize entrance following proper procedures.
• Ensure physical safety of the bank.
• Comply with branch standard operating procedures.
• Respond quickly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
• Use customer service skills to deescalate tense situations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
• Document incidents and observations using company forms and protocols.
• Inspect premises for security risks and report findings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter illegal activities and ensure the safety of personnel, visitors, and property.


• Monitor and authorize entrance while following proper procedure.


• Ensures physical safety of the bank.


• Comply with the standard operating procedures for the branch.


• Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.


• Use excellent customer service and communication skills to deescalate tense or potentially violent situations.


• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.


• Accurately document and report incidents, activities, and observations using company-approved forms and protocols.


• Inspect the premises for security risks, hazards, or violations and report findings to the appropriate personnel.


• Comply with all state regulations, including maintaining current unarmed security licensure in Florida.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.


• Must be able to stand for extended periods.


• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.


• Must be capable of functioning independently and remaining calm in high-pressure or intense situations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Valid Class “D” Security License in the state of Florida.


• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


• Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments while demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment.


• Must pass a background check and drug screening.


• Availability to work Thursday-Friday 9am-6pm.


• Primary post will be at one of our Retail Banks in Daytona, Florida.
