Family of Kidz is hiring a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments in Wappingers Falls, NY. This fee-for-service, part-time role is available during and after school hours, with compensation of $80/hour.

Responsibilities include initial and ongoing assessments for blind and visually impaired students, instruction aligned to IEP/IFSP goals, and daily electronic billing. Ideal candidates hold NYS TVI certification, with at least one year of relevant experience; bilingual is a plus.

Qualifications

• TVI certification and 1+ year experience preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Must hold NYS certification to teach VI.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments for blind/VI students.
• Provide instruction aligned with students' IEP/IFSP goals.
• Communicate with lead supervisors and school teams.
• Maintain attendance records and bill electronically daily.
• Participate in professional development and collaborate with families and professionals.
• Attend CSE/CPSE/IFSP meetings.
