Job summary

Family of Kidz seeking a part-time Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments in New York. Responsibilities include initial and ongoing assessments for blind/VI students, delivering instruction, and maintaining accurate attendance and billing.

Must have NYS TVI certification; 1 year experience preferred. Bilingual is a plus. Availability during and after school, with compensation per service at $80/hour.

Qualifications

• Certification as TVI required or preferred.
• Experience with supporting children and families is preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments for blind/VI students.
• Provide instruction and support to students per IEP/IFSP.
• Communicate with lead supervisors and school teams.
• Maintain attendance and daily electronic billing.
• Attend professional development trainings to maintain best practices.
• Maintain professionalism with parents, teachers, and professionals.
• Attend CSE/CPSE/IFSP meetings.
