Job summary

Great-Neck-Public-Schools seeks a part-time TV/film media support staffer to work with the Educational Television program. This 10-month position runs Monday through Friday, 11:30 am to 4:00 pm, assisting with classes, live news broadcasts, and student productions.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting the TV studio, filming and editing material for district channels and the website, and supporting both day and evening productions for extra compensation.

Qualifications

• Applicant MUST be NYS teacher or teaching assistant certified.
• Minimum of 60 college credits is highly preferred.
• Field and studio video production experience required.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Microsoft PowerPoint and Photoshop.
• TV news experience is a plus.

Hours: M - F, 11:30 am - 4:00 pm, 4.5 hours/day
Effective: Immediately - End of School Year
Ten-month position, subject to annual reappointment
Duties: Work closely with Director of Educational Television. Assist with film and TV media classes, live daily morning news broadcast, and student productions (including evening productions - extra compensation). Troubleshoot tv studio issues. Film and edit material for GNPS/TV district channels and website.
Rate: New applicants: $26.07/hr
Current employees: In accordance with Paraprofessionals Association agreement
