Job summary

Charter Schools USA (CSUSA) seeks a Tutor to support student learning and personal growth. You will develop flexible programs and classroom environments favorable to student achievement and rapport with students, staff, and parents.

The tutor will create lesson plans, use varied instructional methods, and monitor student progress with regular records and assessments to ensure learning objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BA) from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience.
• Possession of valid teaching certification (as appropriate).
• Minimum of one to three years successful teaching experience (may include Student Teaching Internship).
• Understanding of learning theory, motivation, reinforcement and feedback techniques.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements instruction adhering to adopted courses and school philosophy.
• Creates purposeful lesson plans and uses effective teaching strategies.
• Presents subject matter with real-world examples to maximize learning.
• Maintains accurate student records and uses diagnostic assessments.
• Coordinates classroom activities and prepares students for state assessments.
• Communicates with parents/guardians and ensures a positive school culture.
