Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited college or completion of at least two college semesters is required.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency with standard office software.
• Excellence in English, reading, math, oral, writing, and communication skills.
• Must be a team player aligned with the college’s open-door philosophy.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and meet deadlines.
• Provide academic transcripts; tutors must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and appropriate course grades.
• Associate degree or two semesters of coursework required; strong professional conduct is expected.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and tutor courses as assigned to support learning outcomes.
• Maintain attendance records and submit administrative documents on time.
• Administer periodic assessments and provide feedback to students; revise learning plans as needed.
• Serve as a liaison between students and faculty; participate in professional development activities.
• Provide tutoring in biology, business, computers, English, psychology, reading, science, etc.
• Engage students individually or in small groups and promote student ownership of goals.
• Monitor progress and document academic information; attend tutor meetings and trainings.
