Job summary

Delta Airlines seeks a Design Engineer to support turbofan motor parts maintenance, design, and improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with TechOps teams, OEMs, and internal SMEs to validate fixes and drive process enhancements.

The role requires strong project management, communication, and multi-tasking abilities, with exposure to aircraft propulsion components and related design work. A background in aviation/mechanical engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic PC skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Project management and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in turbofan motor parts maintenance and redesign activities.
• Coordinate with maintenance designers, OEMs, and SMEs.
• Assess damage and validate fixes for turbofan components.
• Define scope of improvement projects including hardware and tooling.
• Prepare reports, drawings, and engineering approvals for projects.
