Job summary

The Salvation Army Midland Division Thrift Store in Columbia, MO, is seeking a part-time Truck Driver/Forklift Operator (20 hrs/week). The role includes driving or riding in the truck, loading/unloading, operating a forklift and baler, and maintaining the store and pantry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year related work experience preferred.
• Must pass DOT medical exam within one week of employment.
• Must be able to sustain heavy manual labor for full shift.
• Forklift operator certification must be obtained before operating forklift.

Responsibilities

• Drive or ride along in the box truck to pickup merchandise and make store deliveries.
• Assist in loading and unloading the truck and customers' or donors' vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and monitor vehicle maintenance per Fleet Operation Manual.
• Operate baler and forklift after training/certification.
• Maintain store premises and food pantry; perform janitorial duties as needed.
