Job summary

Penske is hiring Immediate Opportunities: Part Time Class A CDL Driver in the Philadelphia area. Average earnings are about $50,000 annually, with an additional $3,000 annual safety incentive. No NYC deliveries.

You will drive late-model Penske trucks with in-cab cameras and dock-to-dock grocery deliveries. Schedule offers start times 8:00 PM, 9:00 PM, and 11:00 PM with a three-day work week (Fri–Sun). Penske provides training opportunities and nationwide locations; you are home daily in most

• Valid Class A CDL and domiciled in the U.S.
• Current or able to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
• DMV/MVR with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• English language proficiency as required by federal law
• Willing to work the specified schedule and location; background check and drug screening required
• DOT safety sensitive role and alertness required

What you will do:

Deliver grocery freight to a major grocery chain, including freezer, cooler, and dry products

All deliveries are dock-to-dock with no pallet breakdowns required

Unload and stage product in designated store areas

Maintain professional and courteous demeanour when interacting with customers

Schedule:

Start times available: 8:00 PM, 9:00 PM, and 11:00 PM

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule available

Three-day work week

Qualifications:

Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence

Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required

1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years

3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents

Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines

Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.

Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required

This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
