Job summary

Norse Violence Prevention Center at Northern Kentucky University is seeking a part-time Back-up Advocate to provide trauma-informed victim advocacy for students affected by interpersonal violence, including sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking.

The role supports students through safety planning, information on reporting options, housing and academic accommodations, and collaboration with campus and external entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology or other human services degree preferred.
• At least one year experience of advocacy and/or prevention required, preferably in a higher education setting.
• Demonstrated understanding of dynamics of interpersonal violence required.

Responsibilities

• Direct advocacy services to students (90%).
• Documentation of service and administrative tasks (10%).
