Gemma Services in Plymouth Meeting, PA, seeks a Part-time Recreation Therapist to join our Residential Treatment Program. The 20-hour-per-week role requires some weekend hours, with duties centered on creating and running group therapeutic recreation activities for children and teens.

Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Adjunctive Therapy, you will use Insight Generator data to tailor interventions, applying trauma-informed practices and upholding PA regulations and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related field is required.
• Master’s degree in recreation therapy preferred.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) preferred.
• Two years of related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PA Residential Regulations (3800) and PA Child Protective Services Law.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement group therapeutic recreation activities for children in the residential treatment program.
• Utilize predictive analytics data from Insight Generator to tailor activity interventions.
• Report to the Supervisor of Adjunctive Therapy and support trauma-informed care initiatives.
