Job summary

Bedford Wellness and Rehabilitation is seeking a part-time transporter to move residents to appointments and discharge-related transportation in Bedford, TX. The role supports safe operations and patient care, coordinating with the care staff in a newly renovated Transitional Care Unit.

The position requires a high school diploma, CPR certification, and a valid Texas driver's license. CNA certification is desired but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with coursework in recreation is desirable.
• CPR certification is required or preferred.
• Current state driver's license without violations required.
• CNA experience desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation of residents to and from physician appointments in a timely manner.
• Transports residents from hospital after discharge.
• Transports medical records for signatures to medical offices.
• Maintains safety following policies while transporting residents.
• Maintains van in good working condition and clean.
• Assists with Center activities as needed.

Objective

Provides transportation of residents to and from physician appointments in a timely manner.

Principal Responsibilities

• Provides transportation of residents to and from physician appointments in a timely manner.
• Provides transportation of current or new residents from hospital after discharge.
• Transports medical records for signatures to medical offices.
• Maintains a high level of safety following safety policies and procedures while in Center and
• transporting residents.
• Maintains van in good working condition.
• Maintains van in a neat and clean condition at all times.
• Assists in general with Center activities as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with course work in recreation is desirable; Completion of a state approved activity-training course is preferred but not required.
• CPR Certified
• Current State drivers license without violations
• Certified Nurse’s Aide desired.
• At least (1) year of verifiable experience transporting residents in a healthcare setting.
