Job summary

Sacramento City Unified School District is seeking a part-time Transitional Kindergarten instructional assistant. The position is 0.4375 FTE, Monday through Friday, 10 months per year, 3 hours and 30 minutes per day.

Requirements include high school graduation and one year of experience with students, plus one of several education options (48 semester units, an associate’s degree, NCLB compliance). Contact HR for the NCLB test if needed.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school and one year of experience with individuals or students in an organized setting.
• Completion of at least two years of study (48 semester units), an associate’s degree, or meet NCLB compliance.
• IA I requires 30 accredited units; IA II requires 60 accredited units and 75% service as IA I.
• Teacher Associate requires 90 accredited units with 75% service as IA II.
• Teacher Candidate requires 120 college units and enrollment in degree/credential programs.
• Clear Standards; Part-Time; Mon-Fri; 10 months per year; 3 hours 30 minutes per day.
• If you do not have 48 college units, contact HR to take the NCLB test.
