Job summary

St. Louis Arc is seeking a part-time Transition Advisor to work 5-10 hours per week at $19/hour. You will manage a caseload, implement curricula, and facilitate groups to help transition-aged individuals gain independence.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2+ years experience with the target population. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team focused on inclusive services and community resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, special education, non-profit management, or related field preferred.
• Two or more years of experience working with transition-age individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Willingness and ability to learn various technology platforms and effectively teach participants how to use them.
• General knowledge of special education services and post-high school options.
• Strong understanding of effective ways to support teens and young adults with disabilities.
• Strong relationship-building skills with individuals, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseload with required one-to-one sessions.
• Implement and modify curriculum for classes.
• Facilitate and/or co-facilitate classes based on goals, resources, and increasing independence.
• Provide personalized support aligned with program goals and outcomes.
• Complete monthly evaluations for each individual on caseload.
• Maintain and update activities and resources for transition-aged individuals.
