Job summary

Allied Universal in Mount Vernon, WA is seeking a part-time Security Guard (Unarmed Patrol) to protect government transportation facilities. You will monitor areas, patrol, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

This role offers flexible day shifts, a pay rate of $22.74 per hour, and opportunities to learn our patrol platform and advance within a trusted, nationwide security team.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by law, with criminal history considered.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeters.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances in a calm, problem-solving manner following post orders and contacting emergency personnel when needed.
• Monitor transit locations for compliance with rules and access requirements; provide directions and document incidents.
• Maintain a professional presence and communicate conditions and concerns to site contacts and leadership.
