Job summary

The Maryland Department of Health, Kent County Health Department, seeks a part-time contractual position to assist implementing activity therapy and therapeutic recreation for participants in the Medical Adult Day Care (MADC) program.

You will provide structured activities to promote independence, cognitive stimulation, physical functioning, emotional wellbeing, and social engagement, under the supervision of the MADC Director and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience assisting prescribed activity therapy under supervision of a healthcare professional.
• Notes: substitution allowed: 60 college credits with 15 in health services/behavioral sciences; military service recognized.

Responsibilities

• Assist prescribed activity therapy and therapeutic recreation for MADC participants.
• Observe, document, and conduct activity-related assessments.
• Work under supervision of the MADC Director and healthcare professionals.
