Job summary

Saginaw Valley State University invites applications for a part-time Adjunct Faculty member in Theatre to teach Costume and Make-Up Design (THEA 370) during Winter 2027. The position requires in-person, on-campus instruction and mentoring a diverse undergraduate cohort; class meets Mondays and Wednesdays 1:00 pm–2:20 pm.

A Master’s degree in Theatre or related field and demonstrated experience in costume and make-up design are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Theatre or closely related field required.
• Experience in Costume Design and Make-Up Design required.
• Ability to interact positively with all campus community members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver instructional content for THEA 370.
• Develop and distribute syllabi, assignments, and exams.
• Evaluate and grade student performance and provide feedback.
• Maintain office hours to support student learning.
• Participate in departmental meetings and curriculum development.
• Stay current with developments in the field and update instruction as needed.
