Job summary

Columbia State Community College is seeking qualified individuals to join our part-time Security Guard pool. Security Guards help maintain a safe and secure environment for students, employees, and visitors by supporting campus safety operations as needed.

Duties include monitoring campus facilities, patrolling grounds, responding to incidents, and assisting with emergency procedures. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis and candidates will be contacted as positions become available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and respond calmly in emergency situations.
• Prior security or law enforcement experience is preferred but not required.

Additional Details:

• Duties may include monitoring campus facilities, patrolling grounds, responding to incidents, and assisting with emergency procedures. Work assignments, schedules, and location will vary based on departmental needs.
• Positions are temporary and based on the immediate needs of the college.
• Weekly hours will vary by assignment but will not exceed 29 hours per week.
