This is a part-time 22 hour per week position.

SUMMARY OF THE JOB:

As a Teller, you’ll take a lead role in delivering an exceptional customer experience that is consistently aligned with Liberty Bank’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values. The Teller role serves as a proactive member of the Retail Branch team by being an initial contact for existing customers and identifying opportunities to make meaningful referrals. This role will also be responsible for processing banking transactions with efficiency and accuracy.

The Teller is responsible for modeling and ensuring a collaborative and supportive culture within the branch and with interdepartmental contacts. They must interact with the appropriate areas within the Bank to resolve operational issues efficiently and accurately.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Actively acknowledge and greet customers.
  • Adhere to customer service standards and understand customer needs to deliver solutions.
  • Provide exceptional service to resolve account issues and respond to inquiries promptly.
  • Own customer inquiries/questions and escalate as needed.
  • Meet/exceed referral goals through cues and discovery questions.
  • Transition sales opportunities to the appropriate banking partner.
  • Document activities and follow-up in banking systems.
  • Educate customers on digital banking and other delivery channels.
  • Process banking transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Balance and process transactions in accordance with policies, maintaining accurate records.
  • Comply with all operational risk controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in community events and special projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 6-12 months cash handling experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to ask questions and identify customer needs.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Sound decision-making skills.
  • Ability to foster a positive team environment.
  • Proactive planning skills.
  • Availability for weekends and extended hours.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Use of office equipment.
  • Keyboard dexterity.
  • Lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Travel as needed.
