Job summary

First Horizon Corp. is seeking a teller to provide quality customer service by processing daily financial transactions at our onsite location. You will work as the first point of contact, handle deposits, withdrawals, transfers and payments, and promote bank products to clients.

You will maintain accuracy, adhere to security and compliance guidelines, and contribute to a positive client experience through efficient service and cross-selling opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; 6 months cash handling or teller experience strongly preferred.
  • Background check and credit/background requirements as part of employment process.
  • Ongoing compliance with SAFÉ Mortgage Licensing Act requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Handle a cash drawer and follow audit and security policies.
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers and loan payments.
  • Process miscellaneous transactions (bonds, money orders, etc.).
  • Assist in daily ATM balancing and processing; night and lobby depository entries.
  • Assist with dual control vault responsibilities.
  • Stay informed of updates to ensure compliance with current guidelines.
  • Deliver excellent client experiences and resolve issues promptly.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and refer clients to appropriate teams.
  • Promote bank products and services to enhance client relationships.

SUMMARY

Provide quality, accurate and timely customer service involving daily processing of financial transactions in a retail bankingenvironment.Often serving as the first point of contact to theclient, may have responsibility forrecommendingbankproducts or referringclientsto other areas of theBank.Develop and retain long-term and profitableclientrelationships to maximize revenue growth. Responsible for maintaining high customer service and procedural standards. Provides fulfillment of retail banking products either through referral based leads, prospecting lists or self-sourcing.Monitors and maintains control of cash.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational efficiency
  • Handle a cash drawer; ensuring proper control of cash drawer; follow all audit and security policies and procedures.
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers and loan payment transactions for customers.
  • Process miscellaneous transactions (bonds, municipal coupons, money orders, etc.).
  • Assist in daily balancing and processing of ATM(s), including the processing of all entries.
  • Assist in the verification of deposits in the night and lobby depository.
  • Assist with the dual control vault responsibilities.
  • Stay informed of all operational updates and changes to ensure compliance with all current guidelines.
Client experience
  • Deliver excellent client experiences consistently and promptly resolve client issues effectively.
  • Ensure an excellent overall client experience by assisting clients with select service needs.
  • Enhance individual knowledge to better serve clients by attending relevant sales, service, and product knowledge meetings, training classes, and web-based learning.
Sales and service
  • Identify cross selling opportunities and referclients/prospects to the appropriate team.
  • Promote bank products and services to further enhanceclientrelationships.
Compliance and risk management
  • Expected compliance with bank regulations, policies, procedures, risk management, internal controls, and the First Horizon code of ethics.

QUALIFICATIONS

As part of the employment process for this position, you will have to meet the requirements of a background credit check. This position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements.
