Job Summary
Be a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to the people and businesses in our Key Bank communities. As a Teller, you provide excellent client service by welcoming both new and existing clients to the Bank and assisting them with their account transactions and servicing needs, including identifying and resolving client servicing issues. Tellers, through conversations with clients, listen to uncover financial needs and transition clients to a banker for a deeper financial wellness conversation. Responsibilities
- Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate and realizing the impact we can have on their day, personally, professionally, and financially.
- Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of teller functions.
- Proactively work to identify and resolve client servicing issues, escalating as needed.
- Listen for clues for financial wellness opportunities during client conversations, and then appropriately transition the client(s) to a Banker.
- Assist clients in achieving their financial goals and objectives through the use of financial wellness tools.
- Participate in morning huddles and end-of-day debriefs.
- Follow compliance, audit, and security procedures, and balance cash drawer within balancing guidelines.
- Review and maintain knowledge of product guides, fees, and policies to stay current on offerings.
- Perform other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be added at any time with or without notice.
- Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and the bank.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent business experience (required)
Experience
- Experience in a client service role (required)
- Experience in cash handling (required)
- General understanding of PC with Windows applications and calculator (required)

- Knowledge about client accounts and business with the bank; sound judgment in transactions.
- Strong sales and service skills; proactively educate clients on access channels like ATM, Online, and Telephone Banking.

Additional Requirements
- Physical Demands include prolonged standing, manual manipulation, face-to-face and phone communication, occasional bending, lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Driving: Ability to operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license occasionally.
