Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana, Inc. Portage Club is seeking a part-time Tween and Teen Coordinator to develop and expand teen programs. You will mentor youth, deliver education and life skills, and promote healthy lifestyles while engaging with local families and partners.

This role is based at the Portage Club in Portage, IN, with afternoon shifts and some evenings, offering 29 hours per week and compensation of $13.00–$18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year working with children/adolescents preferred, especially Tween/Teen programming.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or able to obtain.
• Background check and pre-employment drug screening required.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance minimums; mini-bus certification possible.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate year-round teen programs.
• Identify funding and program opportunities.
• Mentor and lead teen members; support academic success.
• Promote Club philosophies and recruit teens for programs.
• Develop Torch/Keystone Charter and attend conferences.
• Provide training in employment, health, and life skills.
• Engage community and promote positive identity.
• Collaborate with staff and manage program resources.
