Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops in Texas is hiring Tire Technicians to work in a fast-paced shop and roadside service, helping customers and drivers keep tires safe and travels on track. No experience? No problem—we’ll teach you.

The role involves lifting 75+ pounds, rotating between day and night shifts, and obtaining a DOT medical card (Love’s covers the cost). Benefits include tuition assistance, PTO, 401(k) matching up to 5%, and comprehensive health insurance after 30 days.

Qualifications

• No formal automotive experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of tire sale, removal, and replacement for vehicles in shop and roadside service.
• Maintain store facility with general housekeeping and equipment repair as needed.
• Move and lift 75+ pounds; work in varying temperatures and environments.
• Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Rotate between day and night shifts as needed.
• Assist customers and drivers to ensure safe and efficient service.
• DL/medical card as required; DOT medical card obtained and paid for by Love’s.

Job Functions

• Take ownership of the sale, removal, and replacement of tires up to, but not limited to, commercial vehicles in shop and roadside service.
• Be responsible for equipment repair and maintenance of the store facility including general housekeeping duties.
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters.
• Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
