Job summary

Rutgers University seeks part-time nursing instructors to teach undergraduate courses in clinical, simulation, or lab settings for Fall 2026. Responsibilities include orienting at start, delivering instruction, aligning with syllabi, and communicating student progress to coordinators.

Job description

Part Time Teaching – Undergraduate – Simulation – Fall 2026

We are seeking nursing professionals to teach clinical, simulation, or lab components in Health Assessment, Maternal Health, Pediatrics, Adult Health, and Fundamentals in the Entry to Baccalaureate Nursing Program at Rutgers School of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Attend orientation before the beginning of the semester.
• Provide instruction and supervision in clinical, simulation, and/or lab settings.
• Follow course syllabi to help students achieve learning outcomes.
• Communicate with the Clinical or Lab Coordinator regarding student progress and concerns on an ongoing basis.
• Attend course faculty meetings before the semester starts and when requested.
• Evaluate, grade, and provide feedback on required course assignments and tasks (e.g., care plans, specialty papers, research projects, medical math).
• Complete evaluation for each student by the due date.

Qualifications

• Minimum Master’s Degree in Nursing (required) or Doctoral Degree in Nursing or related discipline (preferred).
• Teaching experience with baccalaureate nursing students preferred.

Certifications & Licenses

• Certification in a clinical area preferred.
• Current licensure or eligibility for RN licensure in New Jersey.

Salary

Minimum of $2,777 per credit.
