Job summary

The Birches Academy of Academics and Art in Salem, NH is seeking a Part Time Teaching Assistant to support a Lead Teacher for the 26-27 school year.

Qualifications

• Assist the Lead Teacher to integrate STEAM into the core curriculum/ Middle School Math.
• Instruct and facilitate student learning.
• Foster critical thinking in students.
• Provide emotionally and developmentally appropriate experiences for students.
• Adjust instruction to engage/challenge learners, encourage independent learning & to develop a lifelong love of learning in students.
• Assist in the supervision of student lunch and recess periods.
• Work as a professional member of a grade level teaching team.
• Assist the Lead Teacher in meeting individual needs of each student.
• Minimum of one shift in our before and/or after care program.
• Participate in bi-weekly staff meetings.
