Job summary

LearnWell in Fairfield, CT is seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team on a part-time basis for the school year. This role involves working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support to child and adolescent patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

You will plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance, and regularly communicate about student progress.

Qualifications

• B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• CT State teaching license.
• Comfortable working with K-12 students.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans.
• Provide individualized assistance to students.
• Regularly communicate about student progress as needed.
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success.
• Maintain attendance and session reports.
• Most class sizes range from 8 to 15 students.
