Job summary

National Grid's Corporate Income Tax Department offers an in-person internship in Brooklyn, NY, with potential for hybrid work after training. You will support monthly provision work, journal entries, tax filings, and responses to federal/state notices.

Qualified applicants must be full-time students pursuing an Accounting/Taxation degree, with at least 18 credits, able to work in the US, and located near Brooklyn. The internship includes mentorship, hands-on experience, and an hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Availability to begin on program start date (Mon, Jan 25, 2027).
• Registered as a full-time student and continuing education for Spring 2027, Fall 2027, Spring 2028.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly provision work and reconciliations.
• Assist with preparation of journal entries.
• Populate tax provision and tax compliance software.
• Update tax accounting files monthly.
• Maintain tax calendar and track due dates.
• Aid in responding to federal and state notices and audits.
• Collaborate on preparation of federal/state income tax returns.
• Research supporting information for audits.
